ලංකා විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩලයට විදුලි නිෂ්පාදනයට අවශ්‍ය ඉන්ධන ණයට ලබාදීම නිසා ලංකා ඛනිජ තෙල් සංස්‌ථාව දිනකට රුපියල් මිලියන එකසිය විසිපහකට (කෝටි 12 1/2 කට) අධික පාඩුවක්‌ ලබන බව ඛනිජ තෙල් කර්මාන්ත ඇමැති සුසිල් ප්‍රේම්ජයන්ත මහතා 'දිවයින' ට පැවසීය.

මෙම වසරේ අප්‍රේල් මාසය දක්‌වා පමණක්‌ ලංකා ඛනිජ තෙල් සංස්‌ථාවට රුපියල් බිලියන විස්‌සක පාඩුවක්‌ විඳින්නට සිදුවූ බවත් එම පාඩුවෙන් බිලියන දහඅටක්‌ම ලංකා විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩලයට ඉන්ධන දීම නිසා සිදු වී ඇති බවත් ඇමැතිවරයා කීවේය.

මේ වන විට මුළු විදුලි නිෂ්පාදනයෙන් සියයට අසූපහයි දශම හයක්‌ම ජනනය වන්නේ ඉන්ධන මගින්ය.

ලංකා ඛනිජ තෙල් සංස්‌ථාව මේ වන විට පාඩු ලබන ආයතනයක්‌ බවට පත්ව ඇත්තේ විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩලයට ඉන්ධන සහන මිලට ලබාදීම නිසා බැවින් එම මුදල් නිසි පරිදි ලැබෙන්නේ නම් තෙල් සංස්‌ථාවේ කටයුතු ක්‍රමානුකූලව පවත්වාගෙන යැමේ හැකියාව ඇතැයිද ඇමැතිවරයා කීවේය.

කෙසේ වෙතත් විදුලි නිෂ්පාදනයට තෙල් සංස්‌ථාව ලබාදෙන සහන මුදල මහාභාණ්‌ඩාගාරය මගින් ප්‍රතිපූර්ණ කරන බවත් පසුගිය කාලයේදී මහාභාණ්‌ඩාගාරය එලෙස ලබාදුන් රුපියල් බිලියන පනස්‌ දෙකක මුදලින් පැවැති ණය බර මදක්‌ සැහැල්ලු කර ගැනීමට ප්‍රමාණවත් වූ බවත් ඇමැතිවරයා පැවසීය.

නමුත් විදුලිබල මණ්‌ඩලයට ලබාදෙන ඩීසල්, නැප්නා, දැවි තෙල් (දේශීය සහ විදේශීය) ලෝ සර්ෆ සහ හයිසල්ෆ යන ඉන්ධන වර්ග වෙනුවෙන් තෙල් සමාගම් වෙත ණය සහ පොලී මුදල් ගෙවීමට සිදුවන බවද ඇමැතිවරයා පෙන්වා දුන්නේය.

Other than the top positions all others are run by proud educated Sri Lankan sons and daughters with degrees, doctorates, diplomas from Colombo university, Peradeniya university, Ruhuna and masters from USA, UK and years of expertise in how to steal and do nothing. Where does point towards the minister only? These things should be planned and sorted by representatives dedicated to the task. Everyone cannot poke their fingers in evrything?

I am sure we all understand no one can come up with magic solutions for issues like this. They need to do some serioud planning for the future so issue like this does not happen and we are not that dependant on oil.

It's SB. or it's bandula. When Sri Lankans have this scapegoat, Sri Lankans never learn. They don't see the fix. Because the problem is the politcians, you think.

The problem is you, your parents not doing your job right. You parent, the inspector, not catching the rapist first time in after rape cases. Your parent, the police officer, who did not catch Amare after the first murder. Your parent working at CTB who did not fix the radiator leak and sent the bus to dipot to rust. Your parent, who is a professor, who is a making the Z score. Your parent, who is working as a electrical engineer in CEB, who did not plan, did not follow tender process, did not plan maintenance. Your parent, who is working in supreme court, doing the politicians bidding. It your proud educated Sri lankan sons and daughters with degrees, diplomas, professors, experts, doctors, lawyers, bussinessmen.

If you parent worked right, then the politicians, thieves and thugs would never have raped your daughter, steal your money, make your a debter from the day you were born, make this country a bangladesh.

In my opinion aj seems to be either an extremist or someone working for politician.Politicians are the rulers of this country.They should set an example of themselves being good.When the parents are bad those parents can not blame their children for being bad.It is simple like that.

I'll give you an example from the company I worked for. This is based on a true story. This is the sample hierarchy,

Directors
Chief operating officer
General manager
Finance manager
Accountant
The rest of the workers

Once we found out that one of the directors had sent the segment of travel bill of a personal trip to Europe to the accountant to reimburse. The accountant saw it was not company business and asked advise from the finance manager. The finance manager refused to reimburse. The director told the chief operating officer about the issue and told him to direct the claim. The COO told the finance manager to make the payment. The finance manager discussed this with the general manager. The general manager checked what the issue with the payment. Checking the facts he advised the finance manager not to reimburse as it was not business work. GM told COO that it's not possible. The director was not in friendly terms with the general manager from then on.

Now that's the story. That's what happens in Japan, Singapore. Now compare it to this.

Directors <- Ministers and all politicians
Chief operating officer <- Ministerial appointed chairman, secretary
General manager <- Ruhunu graduate who climbed up the career ladder such as commissioner, managing director
Finance manager <- Colombo graduate who climbed up the career ladder such as department head
Accountant <- Peradeniya graduate who climbed up the career ladder such as supervisors, clerks
The rest of the workers <- General public

Now what would happen in Sri Lankan elite educated set?
When the directors give the receipt the accountant will make the payment no questions asked. That's what's happening. If the accountant is like Samantha, he will inform the finance manager. Your qualified graduate finance manager will say make the payment. If your general manager finds out that the payment has been made he won't complain, he will stay silent.
If the accountant, finance manager, general manager said NO and report these robberies then the politicians will not do those things again because the GM, FM, Accountant are following the process and doing their duty right. Politicians would be scared to steal money, rape girls, kill and torture people. Their henchmen would scared to do scams and pump and dumps because they know the GM, FM, accountant would watch and punish them. Most of these bad politicos would vanish then.
If your country's qualified educated graduates worked like my company staff, this country, this economy, this stock market would not be a bangladesh today. Instead Sri Lankans are complaining to this constant thing that will never wear off, it's either bandula, ravi, wimal, never ending story, while the real culprit is killing you day by day.
Is this too difficult for Sri Lankans to understand. I know Sri Lankans are inherently stupid.

I know a MD in the Sri Lanka ports authority where in his time he did not allow any bribe or malpractice to happen under his supervision. He followed the tender procedure word to word. He even prevented politicians or their appointed staff from making contact with the foreign companies in case they ask for bribes. He did his best to prevent any corruption under his nose, although other people around him would have acted like Sri lankans. Minister, chairman didn't like him. After his retirement age, his time was not extended although the previous person has been in that position for many years after retirement. It must have been a relief for the politicos that's he's replaced by a true Sri Lankan after that. It's not hard to do that. If you think like a Sri Lankan, I'm going to be fired, I should turn around and put my head in the pit instead, it would be the same stupid country with the same old stupid people.
Developed countries policeman give speeding tickets to prime minister. They are developed because of that. They're doing that not because they're developed, they became developed because they did it right.
