To all and specially to people who try to abuse forum rules,

This is a democratic forum. We are here not to get involved in abuse or thuggery but to educate the public/share holders and talk about the interests of retailer community who is suffering big time due to prevailing macro/micro economic issues and what is apparently issues between a set of high chair and high power people not seeing eye to eye.

Let it be said, this forum does not want to be anyone's stooge.

We will only stand for what is right and not wrong and in the best interest of the country and majority of the retailers. If the SEC, HNWI, policy makers or anyone to that matter says something good for the market and country we as a forum will acknowledge and appreciate.

Likewise it will be reverse if ones tries to do harm. We understand opinions differ from person to person and their objectives. But look at the long term ( local, foreign perspective) when making hasty decisions or acting before you fulfill your personal goals in the short term.

The CSE:

The CSE should not be in this state with so many companies trading below NAV and PE of 8 ( much below market). Speculative play has to be there for any stock exchange. We accept. Else it will be dead market without any speculation. But it should not be to the extent to take retailers for rides and to ultimately destroy markets over valuing them. (People who play with them please note). CSE is trading at attractive levels to peers in the region. Whatever said and done Sri Lanka's growth is going to be over 6% this year. Can more powerful countries like China, USA or UK achieve it? At the same time we should not harp on 6-7% growth rate while every thing else is neglected. It is rather apparent now why CSE is stagnating other than for macro and micro economic issues.

SEC :

The main complaint against you seems to be about over-regulation. Please be careful to think twice before making policy decisions and act upon them. A good idea is not always a good implementation if not done correctly even if it done with good intentions
Also please study short term and long term effects before making/acting upon policy decisions. Do not make sudden changes as in the past which takes many
unguarded. Moderation and gradual implementation should be key words.

SEC, HNWI , High powered, and those who has a bigger say at CSE
Whatever your differences are please keep them aside and try to work out a solution which is good for all without dragging the whole market and 100000s of retailers. We need you all to sustain the market no argument. But please do it ethically as many retailers will be affected by your actions. If there is any issue please try to find a way to resolve it ethically , amicably and justfully not not by bad means.

While you guys fight, have your ever thought about the 100000s of retailers who are affected and will be affected? Have you thought about Country? It is you moral duty to protect the CSE and the retailers while fulfilling your crusade to achieve your personal
objectives.

Please help us make this country better and the stock market along with it. Better means ethically, morally and not just financially.

To people who abuse forum rules :

If you need to fight, threaten or abuse, take your self elsewhere and leave this forum alone Please. We will not be hesitant to Ban members and those who suspicious return under new names to abuse forum rules which were sent to you first time
you registered.

By looking at the things happening, I think the president is very scared of the brokers and high net worth criminals. You can't deny they are more powerful than the president.

Guys, kindly do not post political opinions under the topic. Then the objective will be gone.

It has not political intention for the simple reason to be impartial. We need have this forum running without influences from any party. This is a common message to everyone not just one targeted group.

This is a highly respected forum and I know there are many participants with diffent experiences and skills. I'm sure many are using this forum to get a good idea about how the CSE is percived before investing. Therefore SEC should also take into consideration of certain posts from this forum as these are certain issues voiced by small investors witout fear. I hope we could also be part to help revive the CSE by supporting with our views and issues.

Agreed. Forum members, please restrain yourself when referring to politically sensitive subjects. You can always be assertive without naming people if you think twice before commenting. Good luck.
