Dhammika Perera, Director Investigations at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has been appointed as Deputy Director General with immediate effect, sources close to the SEC said.

They said he will hold this position while continuing in his current job. This is the first appointment of the SEC under new Chairman Dr. Nalaka Godahewa.

The sources said that the acting Director General’s post now held by Hareendra Dissa Bandara will remain until his confirmation in this position. (DEC)
