market bull wrote:hmm nice try, anyway ASI might be red after adjustments.SELI one share traded & got nearly 10 points contribution to ASI.

today turnover of some shares were two times of average daily turnover for last 1-2 weeks, might be an indication of selling. Tomorrow might be a worst day.

I am trying to figure out how many genuine red days we can expect.

some time my personal opinion may be wrong.Wait & see.

Good observation.. Make sense.. I seriously hope market wont fall..

Deva wrote:This is how I would look at the current market status(may be I am wrong).

There were huge collections by the big guns during bear runs. Last two weeks they took the market up to sell their collections.
I sense today it was a day for these same people to collect at a lower price by pulling the market down.
Most likely this would last for 1-2 days and start the push upwards.

Be positive. Good luck. Smile

Correct.. but all these so called big guns averaged down imo.. Where they get new capital, have their companies shown remarkable results? No..
So I'm 100% sure the credit facilities would've been granted lavishly by the brokers.. After all brokers were also beaten down, their income might've been bad in the bear days Wink
So we saw a credit run.. Can a market sustain with credit?
I wanna re-iterate this one.. Some HNWIs have billion rupee margins in losses.. So this is the time they could take the retailers on a ride..

So another run could be imminent too after a pull back.. Or else we dont see the light..

In my opinion, there are certain good counters where the collections are going on...for example you can see how much BIL shares have been traded today at 4.40 level ( artificially put at this level putting a 1.6 selling orders at 4.50) . Also I feel that what ever happens to the market in next few days, it would start bull trend with plantation sector and investment companies like CINV, BIN etc....my observation. (I have BIN but not Others)

Also, if the market could go this much up with credits why we have to worry about fresh cash. My feeling is some shares which has fundamental values are appreciating little by little with fresh cash injections-that's why there are no panic sellers for those shares.

I think you mean BIL not BIN? ( BINN is land only haha)

Yes certain fundamental shares have been appreciating little by little so far.

Apart from some fundamental penny stocks, Certain shares in the bank, agri, manufacturing sector has appreciated.

They did not run in day and were most times gradual increases with dips in the middle.

how can any market go up for every day.. this is perfectly normal condition. As usual in CSE, I belive this run is mainly driven by some HNWIs coupled with broker houses because overall macroeconomic conditions are not that healthy at the moment.

overall macro economic condition has been never good in sri lanka

1.We have not managed" Korean Boom" in 1950 s according to Prof Indraratne
2 We also not managed properly introduction of free market economy
after 1977
3.Economic management has been more or less same after 1977

BUT we have seen ups and downs is the share market during last period

Now the position is good comparing with the position before 2009

Precises of should go up provided NO MANIPULATION
