Prices of petrol, diesel kerosene and gas were increased from midnight yesterday. Ceylon Petroleum Corporation sources said petrol and kerosene would be increased by Rs. 10 a litre while diesel would go up by Rs. 3.
Meanwhile, the price of a 12.5 kg cylinder of Litro gas was increased by Rs. 238 with effect from midnight yesterday. Trade Ministry sources said the new price of a Litro gas cylinder would now be Rs. 1890. The new price of 95 Octane Petrol will be Rs 143 a litre while 90 Octane petrol will cost Rs 125.
Prices of Super diesel will be Rs 98.30 and Auto diesel Rs 76. The new price of a litre of kerosene will be Rs 61. The LIOC is also expected to review its prices and the company was awaiting a decision from the CPC to make a final decision.
