Only a fool will sell at this price. It's mainly because the profit has dropped from 2 Billion last time to 400 M for the 9 months

It has a market cap of 4.4 Billion and 7 Billion in shareholder equity (including stated capital).

BTW this firm can be taken over and there was talk about it at one stage when the big bosses were signing large cheques to this company a few years ago.

**Note the directors are very professional people who manage this firm quite well. That is despite the extra tax issue on benz vehicles.

I love your lingo ! In other words NAV is Rs 865 and current share price is Rs 500 ! Smile
Someone told me that he reckons a turnaround has to come because the govt. needs the import duties on Battas!
When you talk of "being taken over" is it Expropriation style or Business Acquisition style ? If its acquisition style, any company can be taken over if the Price is right and the Controlling interest are willing sellers, No ?

This take over thing was a talk for a long time .

But do you think all Pandithages and Algamas will sell as a whole lot in the near future. When this share traded over Rs 1000 they could have thought about it . At these prices a sell off now is stupid. But even if they wanted to sell they need to find a buyer to agree to their price. It can be a like the Morrison saga.
