Some tea only based companies maybe hit for a few quarters due to wage increases and electricity cost hikes. So unless a momentum starts, plantations are idle.

But yes it is high time some of these shares run atleast a bit as they have not really moved for 2 years. The present valuations are too low and some companies will surive the issues stronger than others.

This is my important Question .. but I am late to post..??

any how I hold some MAL .N & .X , BALA, MASK.N .... Still I am waiting .. those are some of good pick in plantation... when the real bull then plantation ride on it...

But 2/3 Investors not involved with Plantation and Hotel sectors the reason both are depend on most of the situation ... so easy to burn hand.

MAL N and X are very small cost of stock in plantation sector ... 4.50 level good price for MAL compare than same price level stocks.

This quarter good results and good dividend will make them attractive. wage thing will not come up for two more years.diversified plantations like NAMU,KEGA,WATA ,ELPL will do better than others but for me their bit price because?? simply they are plantation companies. AGAL is well diversified but looks like badly manage. HOPL is my pick .

I was thinking of HOPL for sometime but problem is tea segment profits are same as rubber although tea generates about 70% of revenue. Overall profitability has gone up. If HOPL declare a good dividend like in 2011 then this is really worth the investment.
