Most of posts today are worries of not continuing the up-trend we have been witnessing during the last few days. Just my two Cents worth:

IT IS THE END OF THE MONTH!!!

There shall be credit clearances that could put pressure on the up-trend. As I have observed during the past few month ends, the brokers foolishly sell off shares causing prices to go down dramatically and creating panic among those who are not aware what is going on; I too am - what I am telling is what I feel. May be you will remember either at the end of the last month or the previous, someone cried that a certain share fell down unbelievably at a point during the day; can't remember the share. It was due to there being insufficient buyers for that share at the time the broker decided to sell of his/her client's shares to clear the debt, as far as I felt. That share never went down to that price after that sale.

This is what I feel from my observations. Tomorrow there could be more selling. Actual recovery from this sell off and price drop could take until next week or end of this week. This could be a time to collect what you love cheaper if you keep your orders in place. I may not do that and I am not recommending or suggesting that. Just my feeling. So, it is up to you to GO BY THE FEELING of yours, not mine.

I am a retail trader who has been inactive in the share market for sometime. I thought we have to settle the purchases within three days. Isn't it in operation now?

T+3 settlement is in effect. But I think T+5 force selling is no more. If you have credit arrangements with your broker, force selling would be as per that agreement. And I am not sure what each and every brokers' deadlines are and how their settlements work but it appears that at the end of the month, there is a dip in prices, if not all, in most counters. I do not have any facts in hand to give a clear answer. I hope this answers your question anyway.

Overall market we are still in the overbought region I. Another red day or 2 without too big of a drop will do good for market to stabilize.

In the mean time individual share can go up.

Can we say "some shares will go up some shares will go down" irrespective of the red/green day. Razz rabbit
