I have been holding this share for some time now, . Since it is a fundamentaly sound stock with NAVPS of Rs 20.66 trading below Rs 19.50 and with the increase in demand for cement in the future, expecting this to go up over Rs22, what do you think guys????? Smile

TKYO right now has finance and lower demand issues . Once the economy gets back up will have a good long term future.

No reason to see the prices drop much than now.

i'm holding TKYO.X as well n hoping the same thing, its still gradually rising up, and the same reason will make it not go down overnight. 22/- would be an ideal for exit . . . Very Happy

Though their borrowing are less than last year, finance cost have gone up 60%, eating into profits.

the company reported losses for the June 2012 and lower earnings , mainly due to the following reasons,
1. The dollar depreciation during the period and resulted increase in cost of imports, however the prices were fully adjusted only in October 2012.
2. High interest rate regime -High finance cost.
Points to note from Dec Quarterly financials..
1.The company has almost returned to previous levels of profitability in December
Profits-PAT )
June 2012- Rs-19.991 (Loss)
September 2012-Rs.175,567
December 2012-Rs. 224,641

2. The dollar appreciation/ low interest rate regime from December 2012 will definitely have a positive impact to the bottom line in the March quarterly Accounts.

3. I expect a at least an EPS of Rs. 2 for the full year 2012/13.

Be patient, if you can wait for the June 2013 quarterly financials ( Mid July ) you can expect a handsome return.

What about the new subsidiary going to cost them 8b rs. As someone said there could be a rights issue but at these prices. I want to invest in Tkyo but worried abt this.

oh..i just brought 12000 TKYO.X around 19.40.... Shocked

predicted it will go up to 30 by end of this year Embarassed

Right issue risk is always there for cheap money. Ar this stage if they do a right issue , it will be bad management. Also a new trend seems to be debentures.

Right issues are a real headache.

Yes it would be bad management to go for a right issue at this point, maybe they might at some point when the share price has appreciated.

An important cost factor for TKYO is their Dendro Power genaration. The excess power is sold to the grid. They are also starting a new power plant, making it almost 10 MW of of power in total. In a market place where lower power cost is the key to profits, this is a positive for TKYO. Hopefully maybe even a spin off IPO in the future for the power unit? Remember that this (TKYO.X) used to be 50 LKR stock in the not so distant past.
