Access Engineering PLC was successful in being awarded the contract for environmental monitoring and related work for the Port Lae Tidal Basin Phase I development project in Papua New Guinea.

The main contractor for this ADB funded US$ 275 million project is M/s. China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd and construction work has already commenced in this respect.

The Project includes the construction of a Tidal Basin (700 m long and 400 m wide) with a dredged depth of 13 m below chart datum, a multipurpose berth (240 m long and 45–50 m wide), and terminal works including all buildings; storage area; roads; and drainage, water, electrical, and sewerage services. The tidal basin and berth are designed to accommodate vessels with an overall length of 200 m, beam of 32.2 m, and fully laden draft of 12 m. Flexibility is built in for extending the berth by another 150 m without incurring dredging cost.

Any idea of the value of the project which will be handed over to AEL?
I believe US$ 275 million is for the total project of the main contractor, isn't it...

Without taking into consideration of future projects how can someone could determine the groth potential?

AEL will be at 30 (50% growth) in my opinion - outstanding company. And most of their local projects are funded by NGO's and since there will be lots of infrastructure projects (which is what they concentrate on) esp after the Commonwealth heads meeting (wil be able to attract more funds to develop country) - AEL is one of the best shares

Getting a contract is pretty ordinary for a construction company.

when a demo batta is sold by DEMO it does not come as a news.

Yes but this is a huge order! If someone buys 10,000 benz's, anyone who wants to buy DIMO shares should keep an eye since it will affect turnover and profits

total project is huge all right, but AEL is getting part of it only, what is the value of it?

Dumping is very near.

Usually, media hype without substance is before the dumping..

Big enough to affect turnover and profits I reckon

I think this is a good news for us as a developing country.

But some people think it is not a news

They might have thought incidents of KILLING MURDER  RAPE,  Failing STOCK MARKET are good news

This is the level of most of our people

I also agree.... This is a good news interms of AEL point of view, since this move will be a one step towards their Mkt expansion strategy (which was highlighted in their annual report) which can open further avanues for their fast growing revenue.

I agree! AEL will do very well. Will reach 28 in 6 months! There are so many negative comments based on nothing. But everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess.

100% agree. This is a good news for the Company as well as for the country. But I have something get clarify from our experts. The status capital as per latest quarterly accounts is Rs. 9,000,000,000. The number of shares is 1,000,000,000. If so the par value is Rs.9 am I correct?
