DFCC has launched its bond issue, rumour has it size will be USD150-200m although the government is pushing them to do more. Expect pricing to be at 8.50 -9.00%. Personally these rates are too high, not sure where they are going to get the returns to cover these rates. And the bank is too small to take on so much, high yielding debt.

DFCC Bank (rated B stable by S&P / B+ stable by Fitch), established by an Act of Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, has mandated BofA Merrill Lynch and Citigroup to arrange a series of fixed income investor meetings in Asia and Europe commencing on week of September 23 rd . A Regulation S USD-denominated senior notes offering may follow subject to market conditions. FCA/ICMA stabilization applies

If DFCC has taken this decision on govt pushing, it may not be a viable
decision.
We all know what happen to Greece.
