I think this the only place you can express your independent view. in this country.

Even in independent news papers do not allow to express your independent opinion. They edit according to their requirements

I suggest to organize a get together of at least regular participants of this forum.

I think " Mihin Air " will provide the free passage and the Party should be held in Hambantota.  

Lets charge a annual membership fee, let it be a affordable small amount. Rs 100/- recommended

10200 members x 100/- = fairly good amount.

Let this be used as the consideration for all the hardwork behind

Oh gosh ! Will I have to meet all those people I have been rude to ?  

Yes its an unfortunate situation for some big guns here! They make soo much effort to herd the pigs to the slaughter house! Just when they think they have earned something the crooks come and take there money. Then they are left with nothing to show after soo much hard work and time spend looking after pigs and tending to them. This is the sad situation in Sri Lanka not even a farmer can earn a honest living!
There seems to be always a bigger FISH!

Most of the volatile posts come from the same location .... the mods are just running flat out to stand still  

I think Rajitha is trying to make a point but unfortunately he does not know how to do that professionally. He comes here occationally (especially when the market is down) and hurt the feelings of all who keep the forum alive. He does not contrinute when our members need such input more than ever.

Remember you are being allowd to comment so far as we want to promote discussions with diverse opinions. If you are concerned with our members why cant you contribute without attacking others? I hope you have that capacity and use it wisely in the future.

Once upon a time when I heard about this I tried with my dog using straight rod, tied by rope along its tail .. It was perfectly straight...

I think we as a community should behave responsibly. This forum was very useful once I started investing. So I hope we can take this to another couple of years.

This forum is like direct democracy practiced by Greeks as well as the senate of Rome. The objective is to get the best for everyone. But the participants may come with ultra motives and the administrators can not be held responsible for such . this is a nice forum where when we make a post someone else confront . We get to be professional investors thanks to this forum. This is a knowledge sharing hub and i like to make the request not to quit but to fight.

Thanks for the timely note.. I jus never banned a person who insulted me but any other one and did an exception this time cuz it was reported.

rdk2874 and DasDas1990 are same but I let the person continue and I see he's reachin his 10 posts with small messages being passed. If any offense comes in will have to ban him forever.

President office and other important ministries must have this type of forum.They can get genuine opinion the people with computer literate.

Most media officers are crooks Best example is famous HULA

Cost of this type of forum may be very much less than maintaining HULAS

But the problem is the rulers do not want to get genuine opinion of people and people around Rulers do not allow to safeguard their positions

No market can always go down and no market can always go up  ( though this is my quote  I fondly remember a member of another forum).

If these debentures were not there, people would have  run  out of good options to invest with interest rates keep coming down , gold not stable , gold touch becoming wood.  

Some stocks which reported bad results more than corrected in share price. Some are near at 50% NAV.  But get a feeling Dec quarter maybe not so great overall .  But I think strong companies should recover from march 31 2014 quarter with falling rates and readjusting their strategies.   

So... if this market is to make any sense ... let hope for some good time ahead ( atleast short term).

Market is more neutral on technicals. Even ASI falls a bit, don;t see reason to go down massively.

What we can do now is to pick winners for when market does choose to go up ;-) .

I heard & red lot of positive news/articles about CSE for 2014. Hope forum will active again with healthy discussion, argument, research & forcast.

What I can do is to remind that markets never stay the same for extended period of time. If you are an invertors with long term horizon there are too many good picks in the is market. If you are trader, watch, plan your entry/exit.

Guys , market looks unhealthy today. ( but there is still time to see whether there is volume and a comeback at the end of the day) . Maybe some traders are profit taking, some are worried.


Since these was a few days of ups. It is okay to have 1 or 2 days of small red. But if big players , retailer does not come and market falls below say 5900 on weakness we might get into a mental trap in short term again . This cycle needs to be broken so retailers and trader get confidence.
Many worry when market goes up 4-5% it will fall more than it is . So they sell.

I feel many shares are trading far too low to their fundamental value. With interest rates at low, other investment avenues getting lessers, share should get more active. We clearly see CB idea/direction now.

But everything on share market depends on chain reactions and human behaviour.

So long term holders : collect strong companies at discounted rates
TRaders : don;t chase after speculatives until we see a clear uptrend with larger volumes. Else in short term you can get caught higher.

LEt see the market direction next. Let hope for bigger volumes.
