All have forgotten JKH. I think it's the share that gave maximum return and opportunities. More than 100% even with 50% opportunities.

sahan8896! what do you mean you have and you love to have .... you have allready these shares or you like to buy those ....
any how why broker firm doesn't allow to buy you..normally they don't allow to buy Warrants only because no value ..but they will allow to buy COMD , EQIT, CLPL if you have buying power

DID YOU SEE last friday the buyer match and buy COMD up to 68 more than 3000 and last few days some one collecting COMD @ 65.10 level..may be that big seller collecting more so no worries it will go more than 80/= within week...

All above with a minimum risk.

Asiya Siyaka also will record good results. 2013 has been an outstanding year for tea export.

What I wanted to say was JKH gives opportunities to make capital gains, dividends, Short term trading & long term investing. I would say the safest share in the CSE.(Arguably)

Safest share in the CSE  ? I have some doubts.

JKH share price surpassed 250/- in Oct 2010  and the price was in  a declining trend for the following 1 1/2 years (up to  Feb 2012) . Though the price was in an uptrend  thereafter , it took more than one year to reach 250/- level again ( May 2013).  More than 2 1/2 years price was below 250/- levels .

Compare this with  the price behavior of shares  like  NEST, CTC, LLUB,.... during the same period , and  re-think about your judgement.

We also have to consider the share split of JKH in 2011.

Anyway the point on NEST and CTC is true.

If we look at the macro factors, I will share some old news but a refreshment

http://www.news360.lk/business-finance/news-sri-lanka-27-11-2013-a-number-of-sri-lankan-listed-firms-to-directly-benefit-2014-budget-9909987

Out of those companies LGL might not get much benefit from budget since global LPG prices have had a hike.

Further I see a big opportunity for companies that use rubber as a raw material for production. There is a significant drop this year http://www.indexmundi.com/commodities/?commodity=rubber&months=12¤cy=lkr also check http://www.rubberdev.gov.lk/web/index.php?option=com_rubber&lang=en

TYRE and REXP come to my mind as two companies that would have direct benefit. However there is a overall reduction in commodity prices globally so REXP would have faced drop in revenue or margins for mineral export segment. TYRE has shown good results in recent quarter also helped by GOVT taxes on tyre imports.

Gold price decline not benefiting anyone even jewelers.

Immediate period running up to March will be interesting. Last year was not good for the market. Lets see how GOVT will handle this.

@slstock
You are correct. I have not taken that JKH share split in 2011, into account.
Thanks for pointing out. (I constructed graphs mostly in 2013,using old data)

However , since that split is, 4 for 3, I hope my observation on JKH price behavior,  is still valid.

Can anyone guess which share will report the biggest jump in profits and NAV this quarter? I think its SHAW due to the land sale http://www.cse.lk/cmt/uploadAnnounceFiles/1731380883914_.pdf. Illiquid share so can jump if there is interest.
