I don’t want the make any predictions but Iv been closely monitoring PABC.N for a along time. They usually pay  Rs 1.00 Dividend and with current trading price it’s a almost a 6% yield. People predict that they are in a bad shape and they might not
give Rs 1/- this time and the Financial report supports this theory as well.

Nevertheless Nimal Perera the big boss, is collecting his share since last two weeks I'm  pretty sure Dividend announcement is around the Conner. May be he wants the Dividend or he is just collecting since the price is down he will sell it if it reach his target price in the future . I don’t Know.  Your Call. Shocked

36617 – 17 Mar
19049 – 20 Mar
58500 – 24 Mar
 4970 – 27 Mar
Total Shares bought – 119136

In my view it is not the time for investing in PABC for now due to
1. NP seems buying to prevent it further falling below 16. Remember he bought the Japs investors at Rs.20s and may be accountable to maintain decent price

2. Margin and Pawning were the products which gave them good returns in past and Financials showed how vulnerable they are in last QTR. GOLD after showing brief stabilization now again going down (below 1300 ) and if you analyse their margin trading lot has been channel to fund crap shares ( read AR of Greg, PCH etc.). Hence cannot say they will turnaround this Qtr

3. Some changes going in internal mgt as they got new CEO. Hence needs to give time for new mgt to come to terms

4. Most likely no DIV this time as cash flow is weak. compared to others they have lowest concentration in CASA accounts and not much benefit from NIM

5. I think last year Fitch downgraded saying NPL are high

So wait till it go below 15 as NP may not be able to defend always.

"In some situation when insiders, foreigners, top investors and top traders sell their stocks they go up?why is that?"

Could this relate to fears of someone (a top investor/trader) trying to short the stock?

CSE doesn’t have shorting. What I meant here was even insiders and foreigners make mistakes. Even insiders (directors) may be not having ideas about their business value and growth. After selling them prices of some stocks have doubled in the past.

Yes, you are correct. Ashok Pathirage and other directors bought SHL share at Rs 26/= from the market.

One thing we cannot predict stock prices or direction of the market. In some period we may miss the rally if we wait for stocks to go down further. Lately there are few top traders and investors are accumulating some stocks. Actually we can see base building in some stocks.

I don't have any PABC. This could become momentum stock. When we see run in banking stocks many banking stocks will go up.

Sold millions seeing the future with no dividend and possible rights issue.

Now buying back a little at low prices.

Wow, that's splendid news for minority investors.. Smile Smile
