Oktoberfest around the Colombo's pubs, restaurants and hotels that was started since last week will boost Beer profits since many over 100,000 Chinese and even many Indians coming to Sri Lanka are Beer consumers than hard liquor consumers.

Further with Arrack and Imported Liquor prices going up from last Friday Sri Lankan liquor consumers will now be drinking beer heavily.

Further Sri Lanka's Beer industry is now a monopoly handled by Hari and Mano Selvanathan brothers owned Carsons group led Ceylon Breweries (BREW) that owns Lion Breweries (LION) and Millers Breweries (Three Coins).

Thus several other hard branded liquors are authorized to be imported by Ceylon Breweries as official distributor to Sri Lanka for many Global Liquor brands.

Increase of tax will boost further income to BREW,LION since Sri Lanka is always a Drinking Nation no matter how expensive the liquors are.

I was not only talking about Oktoberfest.I was talking about the entire Monopoly of Beer controlled by Carsons group.

Also now the all 80% of toddy consumers in the country drinks Sando 8.8% of Three Coins that is market that will not switch back to toddy in grass root levels of economy. They Drive Beer Market largely in small areas of Sri Lanka..Go ask from insiders of Beer Conglomerate in the country.

Deal king : note below , best month for lion beer is march , then August then April then December . Sando is not done by them ,it's not in the markert anymore . Again , yes they will make money but they spend 7billion on expansion , debenture issue was at 14% ???,
