New Central Bank Governor and Monetary Board Chairman of 'Yahapalana Regime' will they be Political Stooges?

It is anticipated 'Yahapalana Regime' will offer two separate positions to control Central Bank and Monetary Policy.

Accordingly Central Bank Governor will look after money printing and money in circulation, control of Banking and Non-Banking Financial Sector whilst a new position called Secretary to Ministry of Finance and Planning and Economic Affairs will look after the affairs of Monetary Board.

It is said that the new Central Bank Governor will be John Amaratunge's Eldest Son-In-Law Dinesh Weerakkody and Ministry of Finance and Planning and Economic Affairs Secretary is tipped to be Ranil's Economic Advisor Arjuna Mahendran.

Some say some how another position will be created to appoint Arjuna Mahendran
