we try to get a profit from our money and the brokers try to manipulate the market with our money... i would say never listen to a broker... i believe they all from different broking companies discuss things and try to get a quick profit for them by manipulating thound eir clients....

i lost around 100,000 cos i just trusted my broker.. No
never trust them guys they are the vultures of cse.[b][u]

i just thought if they are so brilliant why should they just be our brokers ? than millionairs if not billionaires..

Specially the Capital Trust guys.
Same with me, my chap advised to sell the shares as soon as it starts moving up,
I thought they (so called INVESTMENT ADVISORS) should have a better understanding than us.
Once all is done they would say margin calls and force sales.

Wake up my friends from deep slumber OR else they will flourish with oour money.

Solution: Don't depend on Brokers' advice. It's your money, no body else care better than you Smile

Do your homework and take your own decisions.

"Information" is the key commodity to share market.

Get the maximum out of,
Research Reports
Broker Advices
Forums
News

but be responsible for your buy/sell decisions. At the end of the day it's your money.

The best thing to do is to become a good listener, not a good follower. Always listen to everybody who has anything to say about the market. Listen to your brokers, listen to your friends who are in the market, read the forums, read the news and even the sms sent by LBO and other parties.

But when it comes to trade and investment, do it wisely. If somebody says that a certain stock may move up, then do your research on that. I'm new to all this, so I don't know much about technical analysis and specially the fundamental analysis. But I don't think you need to be a professional to figure out whether the chart is moving up or down!!

So, if it's your money you invest, better do your research and trust your instincts. Everybody may say a stock will move up and it's wise to put all your money on that. But if you have a bad feeling on your stomach about it, don't go for it. You will not die missing a chance, chances keep on coming.

Always try to invest on several stocks and hold them for sometime. There can be ups and downs but most stocks go up in the long run, especially in a growing market like ours. So it's always wise to hold than to sell as soon as it goes up a few cents.

I'm no expert, in fact, I may be one of the most novice people in this forum. Still, this is how I feel.

Thanks..

Sorry to hear that but take solace in the fact that you are probably not alone. Over the next month or two, I expect a flood of posts like this.

I never call my broker, I don't trust them. As long as we buy and sell, they are very happy to collect the brokerage.

Also I never depend on the investor guides or the recommendations the broker companies make. they look to be done in favor of big guns, when they want to get rid of a stock at a higher price, here comes the recommendation reports from a broker saying all stuff and it will reach this much in this time frame. Then the retailer starts buying and end up in a loss. I'm sure the broker gets his potion for the marketing it goes.

I too do the same but my broker as soon as I call and before I could explain to her why I called, says "you are managing your account, so I don't go through it." I always wonder why we pay 0.64% brokerage for every transaction we make to hear that we manage our account.

Don't depend on anybody's advice. listen to them, consult your trusted friends, do your own research but the final decision to buy or sell should be yours.

I paid 1.03%+ brokerage rate for every transaction. is that correct?

May be " you are managing your account, so I don't go through it " is a prerecorded message and she is pressing a button to play it for certain clients of her.

Thats why you hear it even before you explain your issue.

its in a way a good to discuss with the brokers for several reasons, but make sure you take the final decision

dr kiru005

dr kiru005

this is how they do

when you call
they say that there is a good running share with the up trend and can go high within days to weeks and that he/she needs an urgent reply to purchase... then they won't let you think they will say.. hurry up hurry up....

you have to think why the hell is he so concerned about your income and he urgently whats you to get rich,. then the correct decision comes to your mind

try to talk to your broker a bit rough then you can find out how rich by the way he talks to you.

they must be earning black money. that's why they keep changing their broker firms and i have seen some leave the country
