Colombo equity market started Tuesday’s operations on a positive note where both counters witnessed marginal returns, with analysts saying that it will swing between gains and losses like it did on Monday. The main All Share Index touched 7,251.12 mark by 10.20 am showing a marginal 0.52 per cent gain while 20-scrip S&P SL index advanced by 0.75 per cent to record 4,091.49 on a Rs. 200 million turnover by this time. Price appreciations in counters such as Distilleries, Ceylon Cold Stores and John Keells Hotels contributed positively to index performance.

We should see more and more accumulation in the coming weeks. We had strong rally in some non- cyclical stocks during last couple of quarters. We should see strong rally in cyclical stocks as well in the coming weeks, months and coming quarters. Stocks are building their next bases in the current bull market and we should see strong rally in new stocks as well in the coming weeks, months and quarters in the remaining stages of current major bull market. ASPI need to break 7300 with high volumes. Then technically it will break 7600 mark

No need to think about breaking those barriers. Because there should be one of the best bull markets in the world.It is time to identify great winners in the market. In the remaining stages of bull market 7600, 7800 and 8000 could pass easily. keep an eye on value stocks, out of favour stocks in the market. There are plenty of great value stocks in the market.

Penny shares of BIL and FLCH have remained dormant for time. Although not a strict plantation company it has been brewing profits for some time.

I think the scenario will change with in Q4 2014/15.
