We will contest at the General Election, says Mahinda

We will contest at the next General Election and form a new government, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said at his home in Medamulana this morning (01).

“The fight that started in Nugegoda has become a major driving force in the country. I have no right to reject the request by people to protect the country and the party. The economic progress that has been stalled will be rebuilt and reenergized,” Rajapaksa said.

MR is missing the decisive factor which is support of muslims and tamils.By "We" he ment a new party??.Its highly possible because his followers needs nominations.Ultimate winners of this is UNP and the anathayos.They,ll ride on MR and come to parliment.

No Mr nimantha80 it was confirmed that MR will contest with upfa.he said he don't want to divide the party.so that's a strong party with maitheri + Mahinda. So we can easily see upfa have the upperhand against unp.so market will react to this possitivly tomorrow.

හිටපු ජනපතිට නාමයෝජනා ලබා නොදෙන බව ජනපති සිරිසේන ස්ථිරවම ප්‍රකාශ කළ බව ද ජනපතිගේ සමීපතමයෙක් ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.
අද මැදමුලනේ දී හිටපු ජනපති කළ ප්‍රකාශයේ දී ද තමා ඡන්දයට ඉදිරිපත් වන්නේ සන්ධානයෙන් බව නොකියැවිණි.
සන්ධාන මහ ලේකම් සුසිල් ප්‍රේමජයන්ත මහතා ද එහි නොගියේය.
