Dear experts, what will be your predictions of the market for the 2nd half of this year.. Will we see a shift is the crowd behavior, as our experience would tell us the 1st half of 2011 has been dominated by speculation. No

Please discuss the strategies that needs to be adopted during this troubled time.. Surly this forum has educated the majority.

Special thanks to all members who shared the valuable knowledge and experience..

Regards..
TK

the ASI will pass 8000 thanks to pushes on illiquid stocks like what we have seen in March while the majority of shares decline. If you spot the illiquids that are being pushed you will be in luck, if not expect to see your portfolio lose 30% of it's value.

2nd half of 2011 will be mainly IPOs eating up the funds and a few overvalued shares which might run with some illiquid shares making the ASPI up and up.

The undervalued shares might depreciate further within the 2nd half.

Unless SEC interferes and does something, this trend will not be stopped. The SEC can decide that there should be minimum number of shares traded if it has to have an impact on ASPI. Similarly price manipulation is hugely done with brokers support and SEC has to be more tough on this matter.
Eg: CLND is still making losses and how the price increase can be justified.

Many counters are traded with exceptionally higher PER which can cause a market crash like what has happened in Bangaladesh. CSE is one of the markets which has PER over 25. This is a warning sign I think.

This is only my personal opinion.
