The Deputy Director of Corporate Advisory and Capital Markets, A.M.A. Cader explaining why a company should go public said, a business needs capital to grow and the best way to raise equity capital was by issuing shares given the current trend at the Colombo Stock Exchange.
Cader listed factors such as access to public funds, access to low cost debt capital, reduced reliance on bank borrowings, enhance corporate image, ability to build on brand perception and to boost employee morale and increased liquidity as benefits of listing.
