seems all of you have yet not identified what is CSE is.. Just do not depend on ASI green or red. IF so you can not survive in this CSE. My advice is look at just 3-4 hot stocks. Check its momentum and trade it. Example, today although the market is green, CSEC was trading for a good price and could have bought and sold as a day trade. If not if you try to check the ASI red green factor, no day will be a good day for you.

Some say it is due to profit taking. I do not agree on this. Every day some one sells, and some one buys. So that means some one is taking profits every day.. So how can a specific day become a profit taking day...

I like your strategy. Warren Buffett said "Look at market fluctuations as your friend rather than your enemy; profit from folly rather than participate in it".

Agree with SL.Market. We should not invest total money in the stock market even when we know it has an upward trend because stocks markets are very sensitive to information. One bad information can cause a huge drop in market prices.

So the best policy would be to divide and invest fraction of total funds available at a given time.

By always keeping your investments in a stock with a pattern of bottom heavy pyramid, you can win-more shares at lower prices

For Ex: Say you have been buying FLCH shares. You must have entered at 5.00 with 1000 shares. Then you should not buy 2000 at 5.10, but it is always good to by 2000 at ,say' 4.90 and 5000@ 4.6. I hope this would be helpful to new comers specially. If you follow other direction, sooner or later you would face problems.

Even though above is not correct always, you are always secure than others if you choose to follow the pyramid.

It is good to follow the pyramid strategy that you have described...

A member named Zazu was posting this kind of basic on the forum, but I think he had some bad experience with -reps to his post. Now he is not available at the forum I think. In any case if he is reading this, I would appriicate Zazu,if you can continue that post series again.

Those who read the guideline posted by my self and other members and follow those guidelines, will not have any problem with this market situations.
There were some opportunities to make profits today also.
After this type of day Unfortunately people are making lot of disappointments with their treads. But need to remember that It is welcome to buy the shares sold past. How nice if we can buy today and sell today it self or following day with a profit? This type of situations are more arisen with this type of market.

Happy Trading

Depends on your holding power. If you are not short term person and can hold as investment ( 1 year atleast) RCL, DIMO are very good shares.

KGAL is good but I would check on plantation sector situation from time to time. Out of the listed plantations , KGAL is one of the best managed ones. Also Rubber prices are still stable. Though there might be a overall profit dip due to wage issue in the next quarters , KGAL will not be effected as much other tea only plantations. I have also holding KGAL.

I think due to the nature of CSE it is also good to keep about 30% of your portfolio to go for short term trading. I think a good investor needs to have long, medium, short term shares in portfolio to be sucesful.

actually there hasn't been much of a fall yet. the current prices aren't under valued. that's why those fundamental shares are going down little by little. CSE is good only if you're constantly monitoring the market. if you hold shares for long term you'll end up with them at the same prices of lower.

I observed this kind of negative momentum during Union Bank IPO and Lost part of my profits which I gained in January & February. This was a valuable lesson to me and expected same thing with Vallible one & Browns IPO's which can create a huge selling pressure due to high investor attention for those IPO's. Therefore I sold my entire PF 02 weeks back with the intention to re-enter in another 01 month time.Seems like a good move.
