My research guys noted a dull sentiment, please find the quotes;

"An often-quoted negative factor for the market is, of course, a subdued level of corporate profit growth due to depressed consumer demand and the impact on profits due to overall higher taxation

Possible risks are;

1) an alternative more adverse macro scenario to our near-term base case occurring,
2) a reversal of fund flows into EM/FM due to global negatives/risks,
3) a rise in sri lanka risk factors due to domestic political issues, particularly if the local government election is without any clear winner

These risks are very appropriate to take into consideration when considering any specific investor’s overall asset allocation decision and their own risk tolerance"

Hi all,

CSE is witnessing a dull sentiment as my equity research recommended. Would this countinue till local government elections schedulled in Feb 2018?

Additionally, corporate earnings would also be hit due to increased taxation on corporates which would eat profits, while inflationery pressure on key commodities such as coconut, rice and vegetable may curtail demand side. Would these be good signs for 2018?

I thought to wait more to reinvest! Experts please share your views.
