Hexp is not for short term. Hexp is a value gem but only if one can hold it for long.

long term mean how long? four years? I bought 4K HEXP in 2016, still holding, My avg.cost  was 112 Teller & hiransilva23 promoted that time then both of them bolted later.

Now hiransilva23 asking which share is best to buy

Why would someone buy a share just because some one ask them to?  Shocked who's money is it?

I believe it's all about timing. I bought this on it's way up at 84 in May. I could say I'm in profits and expect a little more by holding. You might say that you bought this at a high and not getting enough rewards for it.

SAMP will come back to its track. Expect a price increase today. Those who bought around 126 don't worry, keep collecting. Like always SAMP around 125/= will be a good investment.

I meant it is good for all periods (short, medium and long) as this is a good dividend paying stock , which means we don't need to trade this so quick if we entered at the right price. For now, no any long term price predictions but today is more likely for a price gain and for a reversal.

Did you know that banks are advised not to pay dividends?  It is completely wrong to recommend stocks based on dividends paid last time.  If you recommend buying a stock, you should have a good understanding of the current state of the company and industry performance.  If you do not have a broad knowledge, just say what you know.  Avoid recommendations.

While I am not an accomplice of Kavindu TM or anybody who promotes, post buy sell recommendations in this forum without giving technical or fundamental analys or the sources for that matter, I would like to mention that government directive of no dividends for banking and financial institutions valid up until 31st december 2020. Sampath as we all know pay their dividends in March. Cancellation of dividend will only apply to sampath, if government decide to extend the directive which seems unlikely. This is not a buy recommendation of sampath. Just stating facts.

Hi all,

I view as good investment purely based on NAV.

However, following 4 reasons would kill the earnings potential in next couple of quarters
1. currently interest rate
2. cashflow delay as a result of moratorium facilities
3. asset liability mismatch
4. High Level of NPA resulting increases provisional cover
(Sampath being the best in NPA during 2015~16 @ 1.6% now aro bow around 7% or more which would eventually increase further with moratorium defaults)

So, what i feel is the hit spiked from COVID19 was passed to Banks by the Government and now it is being realized in their financials.

Good Luck

Initial analysis expected banks to have a liquidity issue due to debt moratorium.because of that, banks went through heavy selling and presently in oversold region. Sudden increase in prices of all the banks could be due to the realization of that and banks are having no liquidity issues.
