VPEL is a more defensive share at this price. It gives a handful of dividends.
1) dividend income
share price today -RS 7.3
Dividend per share- RS 1.00
Dividend income- 1/7.3 X100%
Dividend (yield) income %=14%
It is twice of fixed deposits rate

2) capital gain short term
This share traded Rs 8.50 recently
so this can easily move to 8.5 (even within one day)
capital gain =1.2/7.3x100%
capital gain(ASAP)= 16.43%
enter immediately and decide what gain you get.

Even RS 10 this counter gives 10% dividend yield

Just checked the order book brother. There was huge selling of more than 1Mn at RS.7.30 that is why the share didn’t move.

The market seems to be holding well so far and many shares have picked up. This share should pick up soon.

everyone easily understands the value of VPEL than other power companies. VPEL nearly recorded 1Bn turnover and easily earned net profit over 700Mn net profits.
when analysis competitor financial, Vidulanka-VLL recorded over 1.4Bn turnover and only can be earned 460Mn net profit. VLL most power projects continue outside Sri Lanka and facing a higher risk. their operation costs too higher.

They have signed a power purchasing agreement with CEB until 2039. yes, the rainy season prevailed during many months of 2020. This is a good year for them.

Last Friday it went upto 7.80 and again came low as 7.30 during the last 30 minutes due to retailer's panic selling. So that Monday there is a good opportunity to buy a discounted price during the early time. Most probably this will pass 7.80 during very sort time and continue the journey towards 8.50.

Guys this is my study point vpel is a share having good dividend return, for u to get dividend return vpel is good with past earnings and dividedend payout ratio but their growth is always limited , they not risk taking from debt or investing in new project.

But if u study with vll.n that is a company having recent high return project with debd exposure

Hope will have a growth near future which could bring equal EPS to the vpel.n

VIDULANKA never can earn equal eps similar to VPEL due to higher operating expenses and most of the projects operating outside in Sri Lanka. upcoming next quarterly financial it will prove that. Another one, vidulanka dividend payout ratio and the dividend yield is very low than VPEL. Please wait for new financial ....

VPEL is the best one among the others. Here no argument and it was proved past years. Investor easily can earn 11% -12%guaranteed return. VPEL can’t be manipulated and it good for present and potential investors.
