if a right issue comes it will dilute PABC EPS and asset value . u will not see any divident at least nex five years . share value will go down . in the mean time com bank sampath will be have another spilt , if central bank rule will not there this share prize should be at 85 level as NTB , but unfortunatly they hav to go for right issue . person need to aquare a commercial bank like Dammika perera will be benifit with share prize go down . but not you and me as a small investers . they are try to take our money for their benifit ,

well...

they need more capital that's for sure. whether they'll go for a rights issue or not is questionable

Extract from Fitch Ratings on PABC
"A 442.6 million rupee rights issue in May 2010 had allowed PABC to to meet a regulatory 2.5 billion rupee minimum capital requirement for commercial banks by the June 2010 deadline.

While the regulator has now further enhanced the limit to 5.0 billion rupees to be met by end 2015, Fitch says PABC is on track to meet an interim target of 3.0 billion rupees by an end-2011 deadline. "

So can we presume there wont be a rights issue?

comparing the last two interim statements, it seems to me that it is well on track to meet the Capital requirement.
We may not see any dividend but do not have to worry about rights issue at first.

Now shall we stick to one thread for this please.
