i think both are important know
demand for rubber shud be considered also global rubber prices are vital
cost of producing for the company you are speaking of is vital also know

both it seems , but if you check the KGAL reports though their rubber production had decreased due to the increased rubber price they have profited a lot ,

just have a look at KGAL annual report page 24 , they have reported a decreased production of 11% than the previous FY, mainly their reasoning is that it is due to heavy rain ..
so when rain is low rubber plantations can profit

Its same for the Tea I suppose, when the production decreases prices at auction shoots up.

While rubber demand is strong and growing at 4% p.a any short supply will shoot the prices up.

The Japanese Tsunami pulled down the price a bit. Immediately Thailand government curbed the exports by buying the rubber stocks to control falling prices. The Japanes automobile industries were shut due to the Break down in power system after the Tsunami, which resulted in low demand and recovering very fast

i think both are very important but like hawk eye says it depend on the demand for complimentary goods as well for example a tyre company demand falls so does the demand for rubber and overall profits for rubber producing firms also weather is a decing factor aswell therefore alot of things need to be considered not only the 2 you talk about
