This is why i stay away from IPO's. Did not apply for any after FLCH. Now things have changed we cant expect big profits as we got few years ago from IPO's.

ohhh goddd save my soul i never though this would happen, this is my worst nightmare, i didnt waited this long to see this.. this is worst than EXPO even.. this should be the worst IPO ever... this much of drop??? yyy is it because of the private placement? no right those shares are frezzed for a year right.. who on earth will sell for losss?? whats going on guyss... feelll like suiciding seriousley

Hold your breath man. remember LGL.N000 ? 1st couple of weeks it went down and down and some big people collected and then pushed it up when market started to run. same can happen with this too.

suicide is not an Option.

Softlogic sucks big time. all because of the pvt placement.CSE should take these in to consideration ad put lock up rules for all privet placements

When put IPO, cse must be correctly valuate their price, over valued share with well marking they came over subscribe, but retails money loss first trading day.

currenty my loss is around 14000 .............but i hope it will bounce back...like laughf,,,dont worry hold on,,,who these people who sell 500 shares at 19.50 are they crazy to sell that hurry and have loss in first day ???

Softlogic IPO has given good lesson for those do share trading without fundamental analysis on their own or lack of proper Guidance.
CSE should develop its regulation to protect poor retail investors from cheating company directors/ owner like Softlogic

Despite the loses. We need to keep us straight. Its horrible to even look SHL now. I have losses of 41 K.

WE have learnt a valuable lesson. And these mistakes should not be don again, because a fool is person who does the same thing over and over again expecting a different result

Fundamentals are important, not some advertising and brand image of companies.
There is a little bit of regret, but I learnt. Have you?

If you see other regulatory bodies in Sri Lanka such as SLS, TRC, CEA, LA all acts on interest of end customers, who are in weak compare to the other party (companies..). Unfortunately CSE is incapable of developing such regulations to protect the weak party. CSE should be equipped with knowledgeable management to re-engineer its process and regulation. It would improve overall stock marker as well. This is for consideration of relevant policy makers

Please please dont blame regulators. Did they ask our retailers to apply for Softlogic IPO?

Have you any idea about role of a regulatory body??. Regulatory bodies in a country in each area are formed to protect the weak party and to maintain healthy situation. But CSE decision makers look after interest of some companies. Interest of country is second to that of personal in Sri Lanka in many cases.

I'm really busy but and did not trade for weeks just loged on from work today to check SFL price!! ( Did not even check VONE market day as was hoping to keep for medium term)

as far as the things was happend in the case of SHL, we can't blame the requlators, HNWI, etc etc.
the members from this wonderful knowledge sharing forum was educated all the other members about the facts behind this IPO, and the danger of its overvalued price.
so those who took the decision to buy it from the IPO, must justfy there decision, rather then blaming others.
