why did you wait till it went to 1200? it was at 1100 for a couple of hours being jumping up. That's the stage at which you should have got in.

who is buying these carson group shares..any brokers promoting?
I cant believe their performance.
just oil palm but share prices sky rocketed time to time
i do not think retailers go behind such a high price shares.

Econ, I think it's jumping the bandwagon like the original poster has done. When people do that, because the Bukit/Carson group shares are illiquid, they surge ahead. Of course the same thing will happen in reverse when the people who bought at 8000 before the split start selling.

Today, the ASPI was driven up almost single handedly by BUKI

i do not think retailers buy these shares.. they are very high prices for retailers.

It is the retailers who're helping push up the prices like these BUKI, CARS. They just buy 100 shares at whatever sell price listed and the next one follows. And in a few transactions the price goes absurdly high. Because 90% shares are locked up in companies there are no sellers. People should know that the reason they go abnormally high is that there's very little shares running in the market and a couple of transactions is enough to make them go sky high or bottom low. Look at the other palm shares. Sometimes there's only a couple of transactions and the price has gone 20% up or down. Imagine if this is the case with JKH or SPEN or DIAL? What if 70% DIAL shares are locked in companies. What would be the DIAL price? :-)
New retail investors are putting buy orders to shares which never had a transaction for weeks and months and they think they got a good deal when somebody gets rid off 100 shares.

Lol! dead right wis. One thing though, 70% of DIAL *is* locked up. In fact it's more like 90-95%, still the balance is about 500 million shares :-) But heck, I'd pick DIAL over these other Malysian companies any time.

Exactly why I said that! note that my statement includes the word 'other' implying that DIAL is a malaysian company

DIAL is the worst "locked" share in CSE. Over 90% of it is in Malaysia.
When Malaysians took it from Maharaja they splitted 10.00 rupee share into 1/= and created over 7 billion 1/- Rupee shares .
Then they gave 1 Rupee bonus shares ( free of charge ) for the shareholders before the IPO.
Then they sold those free stuff for 12/- to us in Sri Lanka at the IPO. Our fools took it to 27/- in the secondary market.
This is how a mobile phone company like DIAL entertained the top position in market capitulation in this country for many years beating real giants like JKH, COMB, DIST , CARS.... etc.

This was like I had 1000 "teek bola" , I sold few to some fool @ 1000 each.
I calculate my wealth , 1000 x 1000 = 1,000,000.00 , I m a millionaire.

It will move to give you a profit. Not rapidly. May be you have to wait another 6 to 18 months until more plantations come into maturity age in Indonesia. Because of you have bought it at peak, have to allow some time to gather the momentum.

In 1987 Buki (or related share ) was trading @ 17.00 and some years later it reached 12,000.00

These palm related shares are 'dormant few seasons and rise suddenly' type stocks.

I bought BUKI for 900.00 3 years ago, waited about 15 months and sold @ 1800.00 before the last split.

chinwi, there is alot of talk about a commodities run in the futures markets at the end of the year. That might drive BUKI up as well
