Those days I heard Lucky Yogart was going to list. It's nice to have new companies. When looking at the CSE outsiders would think Sri Lankans eat only chicken.

Thats true, now ppl are fed up with IPOs. There should be a limit of IPOs per year. They sucks money of the mkt and go downwards.Ppl have learned something now, IPOs are not oversubscribe in 20,30 folders now.

Munchee has been speculated to go public for a very long time now - NDB were very confident of doing the IPO at one time, but nothing has happened yet.

There was also talk that Maliban would go public or seek a tie up with Hemas (HHL) a few years ago, but again, nothing happened.

Among the smaller biscuit companies, Cherish (in Anuradhapura) is a long shot, but Diana's Helan biscuits, that was bought last year by Cargills, may be a IPO candidate.

Diana Group itself said it was going public last December. See http://www.thebottomline.lk/2010/12/12/page2.html

Biscuits is a good business in Sri Lanka - hopefully the valuations of any company that goes public will be reasonable, with the company not getting too greedy.

Hmm...Is that ONLY becoz the public learnt something ??

OR

Is it because that the CBSL imposed some restrictions withregards to Bank Gurantees ?? (CAP Exposure to any IPO) ??
