Stock brokers - Never gives advice, but calls to tell to settle credit...

I am with Asha Philips and I have never received good advice from them regarding which stocks to invest.
Whenever, I call them for advice; their tone suggest that they don't care about retail investors Evil or Very Mad

I have never traded on credit. For the first time, I used a credit of Rs. 6000/-.

And they call me and tell me to settle... jocolor

I understand that I need to settle the credit... But, will these brokers have the same attitude to help us by giving sound advice???

My one does. (I mean the name): and also does (I mean call to settle the outstanding).
May be all of them are the same: Or it can be the same person.

aps are the dirtiest rascals in the business.and up is a dirty buggar. once one of my freinds try to go to another broker but UP protested &didnt allow.

I didn't know this guy was that ill-famed. I thought he was just didn't like my face and thought all the brokers were like that. Should look for a friendly broker and think about a change.
Just wondring how he deals with NP.

I'm with Asha also and even though the broker is a old friend of mine they suck! ONLY reason I'm with them is because of their online trading system!
Since I started with them the system has never been down for more than 1 minute.
As far as I know they have the most stable user friendly online trading system and that's the only reason i'm with them.

Usually we seek advice of unknown subject from another. Have a good practice of having a second & third opinion. Take an advice as a guide not as "must do" act. Basic market knowledge is essential widening it over the period of time. Experience you accumulate in gaining & losing is priceless for your future strategies. As a beginner I faced the same problems from brokers. Now I never talk to them. I depend on knowledge base. This is not an advice..just think of it...Good Luck.

VN or XN is depend on the ID Type

LC means company

MSB - Asha Philip, FWS - Acuity, NBS - NDB, COM - Ceylinco, BMS - Bartleet these represent the broker code

U should be a lucky guy not to get stuck in between trading hours.. Their systems could be the best but bottlenecks start every time they do an upgrade.. And this DirectFN web interface is mostly not getting updated after 5-10 mins in to trading.. I had to log off 20-30 times a day if I use it.. but software version is good..
And the biggest hiccup I've faced was the latency on IPO days.. It sucks at IPO openings..

Poshkid you must be very lucky in this case. At least they are not giving so called "advices" on shares.
There are many people in this forum are victims of their (brokers) stupid advices.
Unfortunately so far in my life I have not seen a broker I can respect. Neutral

Therefore I only contact them when I need to withdraw money..

Same here! I also contact my broker only to pull out cash...however, my broker is a very nice guy..whenever I call him he is very friendly.....
