In terms of the SEC directive dated 14th September 2010, the 10% price band has been imposed on CLND.N.0000 , HVA.N.0000 , MFL.N.0000 with effect from 19th August 2011 to 25th August 2011 (both days inclusive).
The 10% price band imposed on LITE.N.0000 has been removed with effect from 19th August 2011.
The full list of securities on which the 10% price band is applicable is published on the CSE website.

I am confused.
A price band directive dated 14 th September 2010......... ?

Will it be applicable for .......19th August 2011 to 25th August 2011 (both days inclusive). ?

I think 14th September 2010 is the date of the SEC directive regarding price band.
Read it carefully, then you'll understand.

Price band means 10% up per day.
If it is work on CLND, defa it will hit Rs 100.
If work on HVA , surely it will pass Rs 45

cant tel exactly... but may be it will happen..............

But sec did't put any price band on Lanka Hospitals. Now only they awake from their deep sleep. Yesterday they were sleep. Isn't it???????? Stupid SEC. Evil or Very Mad

Dont think that price bands are applicable for all the shares which gets appreciated. There are certain criteria to be fulfilled. If that matches, then SEC puts the price band. As i know there is a huge impact with the public float of the share vs the number traded per day.

now manipulator knows how to deal with price Band. Price band will be advantage for them. Reg. HVA tomorrow there will be millions to buy @ 36 & know body to sell. Evil or Very Mad

,no its not.......
some intelligent trades know how to play well,btw i think price band should be more realistic to capture intentional trades to push prices,but it will be hard for sure..finally we have to bear and trade as they say Evil or Very Mad
