1. If there is a 10% price band for a week, does it mean that the share can move only 10% up or down from the price that it was trading when the price band was imposed, or is it +/- 10% day-on-day? As an example, if X shares closed at 10 rupees when the price band was imposed, does it mean that, for the next 5 market days, it can only trade between Rs. 9 and Rs. 11, or can it trade further up or down depending on the closing price each day?
2. Can we still buy and sell shares during the price band period? Often, in the order book of shares who are under price band, I see the number of shares being “Ask”ed for as 0. Why is this?
