In an almost unbelievable development, as per the official bid book, ERI had agreed to build the 2018 Hambantota Commonwealth Games Village along with Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation and become the largest private sector investor of the Games while the SEC was investigating the company for alleged securities fraud and or disclosure offences. This almost seems like buying oneself out of trouble...

This could be a part of campaign to promote its counter, in case 2018 games host in SL.
Has anyone seen the confirmation of 2018 games given to Sri Lanka?

Lot of tourists will come if we get the hosting.
More than 50 countries including UK, Australia, Canada, South Africa, India, Malaysia

But SL should have fight with a better cities like Galle or Dabulla.
There are no hotels in Hambantota. No one will create hotels only targeting common wealth games. It is a big disadvantage for SL.
