Dear sun 1985, Pl. do not say so. IPO price is also determined based on financial factors and company's future prospects.

Ya i know that buddy, but we cannot say a share is attractive just bcoz it is trading below the IPO price, bcoz sometimes shares are valued at ridiculously high PEs in IPOs..(There were quite a few examples in last couple of months)

Im not saying FLCH is a bad counter...I was just curios about this method of valuation...

has anyone looked at this share carefully. A cursory look at financials says that it's worth 6+

Aa cursory glance I got the feeling that FLCH worth more than 6.. What is more impressive is their future strategy.. First I was wondering who is going to come to a hotel in Padukka.. But they are targeting Eco-tourism which is a booming trend in the developed markets.. They are diversifying into lucrative sectors such as Energy, Leisure and Property.. Energy sectore will be very demanding in the future.. They target a different segment (Geo/Eco tourism) in the leisure sector rather following all other companies that are just building hotels without any plan.. Prperty sector too has potential to bring in more revenue.. I think this counter looks very attractive at current levels.. Plantation sector will have its ups and downs but mainly it will be a profitable sector as it has been for FLCH..

I would like to see those who have counter arguments for FLCH to come forward and produce their arguments.. I am not an expert.. I have been an active investor for the last 5 years and in my view FLCH looks very attractive.. So if any of our forum members can give us a valid reason why s/he thinks FLCH is not a lucrtive share, it will be more helpfful for all of us in deciding whether to buy it or not..Dont just say FLCH is not good if you cannot say why it is not..

It may pass 7 in long run. But in short term - it may not possible. Retailers holding is high and retailers are promoting this share. When they are loosing their hope in FLCH- that time big fish will collect and push the share price.
