Many of us expected a super September about a month ago. But only September came without the super part and gone away with high hopes.

Then we expected a super October and the way that the trading was started on 3rd October 2011 , it seemed …this time October came with the “super” part.

But after about 1- 1 ½ hours trading ……worries started to rise whether the same dull recent past is going to prevail or repeat rather.

What are your views about the near future of our stock market my dear friends?????

i too fedup..............whts happening to this so called no 1 stock in Asia... shame .. there is no Disaster recovery plan for them it seems .. poor professionals Embarassed

ashoka1966- can you please tell me why the cse is to blamed for the markets going down? And also, why should the markets go up every month? Was there any positive news from any of the stocks that your holding? Are you an investor? Or are you someone who buys a stock and prays for it to go up?
Because, if you are an investor, if your holding stocks of good solid companies, you should care less whether the stock goes down. You should be buying more of it at a discount. Eventually, these great companies will be recognized by other investors and they too will buy it and then the prices will go up.
Just so that you know, I have been investing for the last decade in Sri Lanka and I have done well at it, only because I bought stocks of great companies when the prices were depressed and when no one was interested in them. And I still hold most of them.
Just so that you know, I bought TKYO non voting when they were at 9, JKH around 90 (before split), ASIR was bought at 8.20 levels a few months back, DIST around 55.
There are many great companies even today that are trading below 10 P/E and have great cash flows, great dividend payouts and are trading way below books values.
So, if you want to make real "wealth", you should invest for the long term. Do not care what the price are on a day to day basis. Always remember, you can't buy what’s popular and make money. You should buy when markets are depressed.
