we only know the changes in market capitalization but the net real money involved is not known.
If we calculate in daily basis by summing up multiplication of volumes and net change of prices it is possible, but manually it is difficult.

I don't know whether its possible what you said...

But if you have good connection with your broker, try to get the total cash deposit and withdrawals
of that broker firm during this year as a sample of overall market (But ur sample firm should be reputed firm). Then u will realize that there is outflow of money... Or just contact him and ask total Net foreign out flow for 2010 and 2011.

Dr. Rajaraam.. Are they promotions? or Asking experts' opinions ?? better read again..
I am not daydreaming like you. Its true I have huge losses since I was in dark at that time.
You might feel them as promotion as you are begging others to buy saying "this is the last opportunity to by at cheap prices" hics..

Thanks for posting something useful.
Have a look at this also! Not saying this report is correct but everything lies somewhere in between!
http://www.lbr.lk/fullstory.php?nid=201011181206341945

Also just FYI:- Most of your later statements Contradict what you have said at start! According to your 1st logic what we should do is let the blue chips fall way more so the PE ratios of these over values lot comes down a lot more making the shares attractive to foreigners! Very Happy

Also note that MPI=/ Blue chips! That is an out dated stupid generalization! MPI= liqquid share index!
BTW most of the blue chips are already way over valued than most of the illiquid shares! ( Read the link i gave) Take for example ALLI, DIMO, OFEQ! JKH on the other hand is way over valued even at current prices as their Earnings come from selling out there assets, not healthy earnings from operation!

Anyway one of the main reasons for this mess as you have touched upon is the less cash in flow and huge cash outflow mainly in the ways of huge IPOS and Right issues!!

PS:- BTW I believe that having to wait till ASI fall below or at 5000 level to get foreign inflow is the biggest retard thing i have ever heard in this forum! That logic says to get the ASI high a bit we have to let the ASI drop a huge amount! I hope you are not one of those guys who have sold every stock and waiting till ASI drop to these levles to collect! Because buddy, like it or after next few days aSI will be heading up at least towards 6500 mark!

I wish this would happen... The market watchdog, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), is also planning to introduce new rules on minimum public float to curb share price manipulation.
