To tell a long story short I can say 'Everything is a fake' .'Again I say "Be careful" .
Technicals ans fundamentals are equally fearful now.

@stockmate: can you give a couple of examples for fundamentals (that are fearful)? just name the tickers and kindly make sure they don't belong to the same group / sector.

I'm not challenging you or anything, you might be correct. I just want to run an analysis and see for myself.

Have to second u.. there's no point in arguing whether the market may go up...
When its up for now we dont see the clear picture..
When it starts coming down we asky why??
When it exceeds our stop loss we hope for a bear rally
When we can no longer breath with losses we ask when is the recovery..

I think best way to not get defeated is not to play Wink

When I see the last few days CARS trasactions I'm aslo having some doubts..

02/01/2012 to 09/02/2012 traded share volume = 22,500

13/02/2012 to 22/02/2012 traded share volume = 179,200

From 13/02/2012 someone/group has bought CARS shares in large quantities. I would be very surprise if the buyer is a retailer. If you check the last two quarter reports only EPF has increased their quantity. Most notably none of the top 19 share holders sold their stakes.

14/02/2012 CSE index hit the lowest figure in nearly 18 months.

Same scenario applies to BUKI

02/01/2012 to 09/02/2012 traded share volume = 19,200
13/02/2012 to 22/02/2012 traded share volume = 88,900

These cannt be collected by Piyadasa or Sirisena. ( of course not all but most)

@UKboy: I'm not entirely clear what your message is about. Is it that this uptrend could be a clever manipulation done with the CARS group? (which made retailers to jump into other shares as well?)

I believe there are several fundamental counters that are really worth their price. Although it's certainly possible that there can be many "fearful" situations (like CARS).

Yes anubis, Its a good sign to see that the market is up ( somehow) and Yes there are many good shares at good prices. I agree I cannt say No to that.

To be honest I'm also very skeptical about the market (this is why I question both the ends to get a good understanding). It would be very interesting to see how the market behaves in the following couple of days.

People like this are fake...Mostly there life is a fake...So they cant stand the up trend after a long bearish market.....Get a Life Buddy...Sorry if you sold your shares at loss tongue

Compare the today's turnover with last previous days'. Yesterfday's high turn over was completely due to Dhammike Perara's transactions( about 2b). If the bull has really come as some of you want us to believe ,today's drop in turnover is abnormal. Today's turn over will be about 1/15 of yesterday's turnover. Great?
Appuhamy and others want us to believe that bull has come and buy. He even insult us for telling the truth. By Monday Appuhamy and the clan will learn a lesson hard way.

Real run may start after the next blood bath (better to say blood flood)

Who ever, I don't care). Last two days I got profits and look for next opportunity to take the benefit. Ones knows the correct entry point and exit point he/she will be a winner.

There are lot of problems with new system.Old GTC and GTD orders are vanished.So I think after fixing the problems, turnover may increase.

snandasiri - Yesterday they purged all the orders after 2.30, because of the upgrade. There was an announcement about it yesterday. May be you missed it.

You have a point. But Person whose name was mentioned is one of the HNWIs. Everybody was waiting till foreigners and HNWIs are return. So his retturn is good no? Foreigners also playing well in 2012 recording over Rs. 2 Billion net inflow.During last 6 market days their buy value is Rs. 2524 Mn whereas the sell value only Rs. 817 Mn.So on what basis you say this is a fake?And I think today is a quiet different day in compared to nomal days due to changes of the system. Anyway ressistance level you mentioned(5400) has broken on 22nd and it has surpassed 5500 too.Do you have any idea about new ressitance level pl.?

Your hopes about higher highs vanished. As I said be ready for the blood flood. It is already started. There may be a temporary stop tomorrow. But the the market will fall below 4900. I am tired of typing details. But this the crux of my untyped technical report.
Marvelous opportunity for swing trade in coming weeks. I had the one of the best swing trade last week.
