We’ve seen some good buy recommendations from Softlogic stock brokers recently?
Who are the other stock brokers give good insight on buy recommendations especially at this moment?
We’ve discussed enough bad things about brokers. Any good thing to be discussed?

Doing a self evaluation is pretty good idea hence the market is not going anywhere at the moment...may then we can pick up with good shares at least.

Answering to youe question I personally believe JB (I do not have any personal attachment). Cos I myself have worked as a research analyst (in a different firm) and do know depth and breadth of most research reports (commercial viability of a research report is out of argument). However i believe JB has not comprimised on what a research is meant to be.

Do not follow the stock brokers who give buy recommendations for stocks while keeping them in their bags or related parties. We saw the JKSB recommendations of SHL and EXPO IPOs, they couldn't come even closer to the predicted earnings. So before we read a research report from any broke house we should look for conflict of interests, look for what they recommend and why.

true,,,on the disclaimer side they are motivated by order quantities of their big clients. and common brokers are no fortunrtellers...once something has gone wrong anyone can point out and say this went wrong and that...no one opens the mouth until something is proven wrong. that doesnt invalidate the fact they are informative and take research seriously.
Question here is which broker PRODUCES the best /better research,,,NOT which broker to follow. whch of course is NONE.

Yes, we knew all those stories behind those IPO recommendations before their arrival to the market. Most of us avoid those IPOs at that time. I cannot remember any IPO in recent past that was not asked to buy or any sell and exit recommendation. Also, we have to understand the type of business they do and cannot expect such things. Let’s forget those IPO recommendations for the moment. Which broker hut is behaving more professional manner when it comes to equity analysis.

I can remember once Tubal said that head of Capital Alliance is good in predictions.
However when it comes to general stock advisor level, I'm not too sure how they behave.
Normally these broker huts have so many hidden agendas . So you have to be very caerful.

"Unless there is big foreign participation we cannot expect remarkable growth from our market in the near future," said Capital Alliance Securities head Harinlal Athurupana. "Due to prevailing adverse European market conditions we cannot expect big foreign participation.”

He said many shares were overvalued and foreigners are withdrawing their money.
