Don't expect too much from Godahewa. He is a puppet. If you don't know the connection between Godahewa and DJ go through the CLND deal list. Is he a fool to buy CLND (NAV-16) @60 ?

BTW, I do not believe he is a puppet.

There was an investment plan and that's why he bought at that rate. He continued buying CLND till this June at various rates.

I think now I can figure out what was their overall plan. I guess they realized it is too early to go ahead due to downfall of world economy and SL economy in particular including CSE. I mean only delayed.

We may see renewed activity in CLND , CSD, ETWO like shares in the coming months.

However, Market will rocket up to peak at 7000 and then meet an endless drop as of this thieves.
How do we set up our confidence to congratulate people like this who already has beaten us before?
TK is better than him because he is a truthful man and he is not a double faced person. His resigning proved that also.
But, what are the reasons to believe NG will perform well and will overcome all remaining problem at SEC? You know according to the Democratic Sri Lankan practice people who are assigned to the top level posts forget their responsibilities and duties soon and work selfish.
I see this incident as 'providing ladders to the hoping monkeys.'

Hope he'll not favour the crooks..

He him self is a one of the biggest crooks in the market.

Can you kindly give one example for him being a crook ? If you look at his buying patters his only big investment is CLND which appear to be a long term arrangement with othershareholders to show his commitment as Chairaman. He was never involved in a significant way in any of the pump and dump scandles. Just because he is connected to some people who did suspicious market activities is it fair to call him a crook. Then every crooks family and friends should be crooks in this world.

Also the island and daily news both said that investigations will continue. So why not wait and see without making baseless statements.

K.Haputantri wrote:My Dear Mr. Chairman,

While congradulating you on your new appointment, I have a stupid but a simple question to ask you.

Do you have any relationship with or interest in any of the companies under investigation by the SEC at present as reported in the Daily Mirror today and what would you do with these investigations? http://forum.srilankaequity.com/t22043-sec-spotlight-on-two-dozen-companies#133490

No amount of tricks would be able to save any one either softpeddling, thwarting or do nothing of these investigations. Genuine investors have every right to know.

I wish you have the knowledge, experience and most importantly the back bone necessary to face the challange. I wish you well Sir.

TALK TO A FEW INDEPENDENT SEC STAFF........IT LOOKS LIKE INSTRUCTONS HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO CONTINUE ALL INVESTIGATIONS. Director General SEC Dissa Bandara's statement to daily news and Island quote from SEC chairman yesterday both confirm. We will wait and see. It will be a tough call for him. But I believe he will be different to most people. He also has a personal interest in safeguarding his integrity. Selling his shares in connected companies show that he is releasing pressure to favour these so called connected people. My guess .....bad luck for those who think he will save them.

Refer back to what Dr.TK said about DP, Director, Investigations. DP will continue to do the needful making it easy for NG to do the tight rope walking. Idea
