Don’t believe such a project in Sri Lanka, me too wasted about 2million investing with so called Teak plantation company what is now under court proceeding.

Invest in stock market is wiser than trap in to such companies.

Earlier they were somewhere in Rajagiriya.
Then they shifted their head office to WTC Colombo.

The following are the latest info I can offer.

Address: Level 22, West Tower, World trade Center, Colombo 1 .
Telephone numbers are Not working at the moment:
(011 247 8294 -5-6 011 238 6386
Puttalam office: 032 567 6765 )

hotline as per the Web: 077 383 0531 - ringing but not answering

These people sold their lands using the " Free Coconut for all" slogan .
They have developed some lands in Puttalam area , looking good, plants are at harvesting stage. Actually they keep these few acres at high standard to attract investors and it worked.
New bare landplots closer to sea were sold to the investors @ about 160,000.00 per lot (11 perch) where they promise to grow 5 trees.

I think the heat, wind and soil in Wanathawillu area is not that good for coconuts like in Kurunegala region. I inspected the nuts produced by them and found the kernel is not that thick even though they feed the plants with modern lift irrigated water and all the nutrients.

If you calculate FD return for any of these miracle plantation offers, you will see the risk free return from FD or TB come closer to what they promise to deliver after 5 - 10 or 15 years.

Instead of paying big initial money to one of these companies for a bare land in a rural area, I planted my own sandalwood plants few years ago. After 3-4 years I found my trees are better and bigger than their trees managed scientifically by so called experts.

This is a kind of plantation business spread most of the parts in the Globe. Very few sustained to give the promised return to the investors.

They heavily use various modern marketing tools including attractive web sites. To sell cheap sandy barelands in dry and hotter areas they fill their web sites and leaflets with healthy greenery grown in moderate regions.

I am sorry I have no updated info about the particular fellows smiling proudly with you in that images.

Dear All, Thank you very much for these information. This seems I was trapped by these cheeters. They have given us a original deed, plan and stupid agreement. What legal actions can be taken against them? There must be many people struggling now thinking, what to do next? Our government, all media has promoted this company for several occations and that encourage us to invest our money on this. I reside in abroad and can anyone could getting touch with these people last few weeks? But I could not contact them as no response for telephones and e mails. has any one visited their office? Please discuss.

Typical Sri-Lankan reaction, blaming the government for a risk that you have taken.

Besides i think the Central Bank clearly warned against investing in these unregulated plantation schemes.

But go ahead blame others for a mess that you got into.
