Just wondering if I have stumbled upon some new magic to predict the market direction.

Sri Lankan team won against England >> Market went up
Sri Lanka won against Australia >>>Market went up faster
Sri Lanka lost to India >> Market slipped down.

When is the next match?

Only a fool would bet on SL to beat India Razz

England with 2.26 and India with 1.80

If Sri Lanka win the final, say they can get Rs.X amount. Then part should go to the cricket board. Players knows this.
I think when they purposely lost they can get Rs. 3X amount.
Senior players can decide which is profitable. I think they select correct solution like 2011 world cup.
Playing cricket is more profitable ratherthan investing on stock market. Direct your child to play cricket.

Saw a rowdy youth kicking an LTTE girl.
No body approves such behaviour. I think its in our BLOOD to kick females Evil or Very Mad
Api itin Deshapremi Deshi Hitarshi aya ne.
Those buggers dont see the consequence for our country in foreign land.
Behaving like Idiots. And we are basically playing into their hands.
I hope our buggers will behave next time. Very Happy

Obviously!

But who knows? there could be some confounding variable.

Say, some of those who watched the match happened to be in a bad mood and got panic at the market also ??
The stimulus can be similar to what happens when a change in the political situation is expected.

Having said that; I have another theory to explain situations like this....

When a market is under pressure to perform a certain movement (at this moment, as I UNDERSTAND, technical analysis suggest a minor  correction: ASI towards 6000) , the factors towards that movement are AMPLIFIED and the factors against that movement are dampened.
In the present case, the market was waiting for a 'little push' to go down and the match results gave the necessary 'sentiment'.

Make any sense?
