Who Knows…?
I think possibility for CFVF to pass Rs.120/- barrier before end of this financial year 2014/15.
My short term barrier is before release the 06 month ended quarterly report, CFVF to pass Rs.70/- plus by 31.10.2014. Then expect, after the financial report, by 31.12.2014 Rs.90/- plus barrier and by end of 31.03.2015 Rs.120/- target.
Why?
As at three months ended CFVF reported 252 Mn & during july’14 another 421 Mn again. So, with in 04 months they reported 650 Mn Plus Profit. Hence high Possible for by 06 months ended 1 Billion mark (at least 850 Mn Plus) and 06 months ended EPS can be around 8 - 10 range. By annualizing to 2014/15 EPS possible for 15 or more. This can be directly impact to price & my target is more possible.
Currently CFVF is trading at last 4 quarters trailing EPS of 4.60 into trailing PE of 9. So, with the expected EPS of 15 into 9 PE, my target of Rs.120/- is possible by 31.03.2015.

REVIEW OF OPERATIONS
First Capital Holdings PLC recorded a consolidated turnover of Rs. 577Mn for the first quarter of 2014/15, a growth of 17%
over the previous year. Consolidated profit after tax of the Group is Rs. 218Mn. This is a significant increase of 230% when
compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The Group’s subsidiary, First Capital Treasuries Limited, was the principal contributor to the results in the period under
units, namely, Structuring and Placement of Corporate Debt Securities, Investments in Corporate Debt Securities, Wealth
Management, Stock Broking and Margin Trading contributed positively to the group’s trading results.
We expect more trading opportunities in the year. Further, significant business opportunities through structuring and placement
in Listed Debt are expected as a result of prevailing low interest rate regime and tax benefits. First Capital Wealth Fund was
the best performing fixed income unit trust in the country for a consecutive period of three years as at 30 June 2014. Funds
under management have substantially grown during the period under review to Rs. 1.25Bn, a growth of 25% when compared
to the position at the commencement of year 2014/15.
First Capital Treasuries Limited launched “Platinum Bond Issue”, a medium to long term repurchase agreement backed by
Government Securities for the first time in Sri Lanka. The company raised a total fund in excess of Rs. 700Mn through the said
Bond Issue.
The Group continues to build on the growth momentum in the financial year 2014/15 with the increased level of primary
dealing operations and in the structuring and placement of corporate debt securities. The Group recorded a profit after tax of
around Rs. 400Mn in the Month of July 2014. The profit after tax to 31 July 2014 is around Rs. 620Mn.
The Group will also increase its focus on corporate advisory and the broader Investment Banking services business in its
journey towards achieving its vision of becoming Sri Lanka’s leading investment bank.

CFVF and ESL both may pass 70/= comfortably.

CFVF might pay regular dividends in coming quarters as they earn excellent profits.

be causes when touching red hot shares. i think better to value a share looking at the results delivered. we should speculate to some extent but should not go 100% only on speculation.

cocr can trade at a higher pb ratio because it is traded as a growth company.but funds trade near net asset value. so cfvf may not trade like cocr at higher pb.
