this not a silly question. we have full legitimate right to get our money back.i also have 1000 shares. very small qty.

we small investors have nothing to do with initial privatization. we do not know it was right or wrong. but later this same MR government promoted investing in the Cse.
so we bought shares. many pensioners also bought.
this taking over without paying compensation is totally wrong.it is a rouge act.
shameless act.

definitely unp government will pay compensation or give us our ownership back.
it is a good idea to form an association of small investors of suga to organize a protest in front of parliament to get our right to ownership.

Thats very much true...And my point of view is the same...Government promoting all these things, asking small investors to buy shares...then they do what ever they want.

My PF about 15% is SUGA. it may be not millions, but for someone with a small capital, it is a big thing.
I really don't know how can they get away with this kind of things, CSE, SEC not doing anything either.
They privatise when they want, then take it back if they feel... Just like that....
Bit like stealing from us and nothing we can do about it

.

This was taken over by the government under gazette of under performing companies act.
Accordingly SUGA is vested under the Treasury , compensation has to be made to the shareholders according to the valuation. So shareholders will be compensated.A Valuer has appointed for this purpose. So you have to submit your claim to the said authority.

under privatization, suga was making profits. but the motive for taking over is not that. that is the ethanol.
if this factory is kept under government they can control ethanol. . they can get ethanol.that is the reason.
see sri Lankan and mihin. are they over performing or under performing. who is paying for these crimes? sri Lankan was making profit. but under this government we public have to pay to keep it.

anyway anyone has got money for suga shares? or got any dividend?
then who is eating our dividend money?

please tell us any one has got compensation.

You have to submit your claim to the chairman.compensation tribunal ,SJMS Associates.
I am unable to say whether such claims are accepted at the moment since they made this in 2013.
I will try to attach a scan copy of the letter I received in respect of the above for your information.
