Does any one know the procedure they use to purchase oil? Are they buying through IOC India using some sort of transfer price. Their last quarter results does not reflect the reduction in world oil prices as I expected.

Market behaviour in Sri Lanka is not similar to that of developed nations. Changing value of commodities in global market & its direct impact absorbs to our market slowly. Sometimes not at all. Many are looking for short term small gains. If you look into profit growth reported by many companies & dividends declared had not given the real effect to the price movement. Specially domestic buyers dispose their holdings with a small profit within a short time as they still do not have market confidence. Perhaps they may have strong sentiment on present political environment. Forum has repeatedly highlighted the strength & the target level of several counters. It takes time as conventional demand & supply cycle decide the pricing level.
