We can see clearly that it is happening as we expected. Mr. Harry jayawardhanas holdings are getting up. So whats the reason for this. It seems half of people like this change and half of people doesnt like. So when will this finish. New president was voted 9 lakh plus votes from north and east while mr.rajapaksha got 3lakh plus only. The difference is 6 lakh but its from minority ethnic groups. But mr.rajapaksha got huge weighted average votes from south. He won most of the seats. When we analyse this matter independently we can see this. So one thing is clear now. This market is driven by politics mostly rather than economic datas. Those who like to government will push and against will down the market.its because of monopoly situation. Less people have more number of shares.this is dangerous as i believe...,,,,,,,,

I think its a bit way too early to make a judgement on political interference with the market, its a very real thing, but judging on the influence of a government that came a couple of days back has no basis behind it, FYI VPEL was on the rise and that was along with other energy sector stocks. YES politics has a very high influence on sri lankan markets, BUT its too early to point fingers. And this was kind of anticipated with the run a few says back, atleast should seen it coming.

Today manipulators playing around.
VPEL, VFIN, VONE are fundamentally strong and it won't be affected by political situation.

Personally I don't think it will happen under yahapalanaya as it can't be done. Also MS and RW will not do 3 rd class things like what happened in MR regime to Ceylinco. They will live and let live others. Only thing I can think of is they will hav a upper hand in some other way but will not vanish off DP and his businesses. More than us DP knows well what will happen to him and his businesses. If DP knows it's going to be the end for him then he will not buy shares of Hayley's for Rs.340 million on 9th jan. Just my opinion.

If politicians can change sides so easily, why not KDDP. Don't forget that he is a genius in decision making. Ceylinco had different reason for the collapse.
