I think the time is right to start identifying stocks and start buying. General Elections are likely to have a short term impact in the market prices, but for those who are looking at 1 -2 year investment horizen i think the time is just right.

Lets start identifying good stocks from identified growing sector and list it down here. I will also do the same.

Note: Please identify analyse stocks before buying. You have 2 months time to buy. During these 2 months prices will fluctuate but thereafter I believe it would be steady upward trend thereafter.

Identify the growth stocks for the future. I am looking at 2 year time horizen. Blood bath was witnessed by the market from 7700 to 7200 and market could fall further upto the General Election. So don't be too optimistic about the short term positive market movement. Use this opportunity to buy good stocks that had fallen not the shares that will fall further due to current political uncertainty and economic outlook.

Dear Quibit

My future winners are agriculture, tea plantations, poultry, hotels, selected diversified stocks and health now. Worst performers in 2014 could become top performers in 2015 and 2016.

I think tea plantation and agriculture will not be so attractive in the short term. 100 days will not yield much contribution towards those. Hotel, tourism, poultry and imports and health could be good in short to mid term. Industry, pharmaceuticals and finance could be good in longer term.

It would be fantastic if we could find a source giving high and low, eps, p/e and dividends for all the shares.

The Finance & Diversified sector has always be the winners in a market up turn. My view is that if the market to move up gradually 10-20% per year for the next two years these two sectors will be the key and less risky as well.

I am bit concerned about the construction sector. Plantations would be fine but I am concerned about crude oil price impact on natural rubber prices.

Plantation sector is very risky and is only good for short term. Lot of factors impacting the sector. Whether, trade union actions, international demand, output , etc.

Those who produce oil, gold, maize, soya, rubber and palm oils are struggling now due to lower prices of their products. On the other hand Sri-Lankan tea fetched over Rs,400 per kg during last two years due to demand for quality tea.

We have to study and think about value, mid and long term potential, new policy decisions, stage of market etc. Investors using sector rotation investing strategies can achieve superior results. During third stage of market following stocks should be in our portfolio. We are about to reach third stage of market and stocks prices will go up rapidly in new stocks and sectors.

Consumer staples
Agriculture
Food products
Healthcare
Medical Equipment
Energy

Time to think about value stocks now.
