Depends on whether the interest rates remain flat or go down further. There is a likelyhood that rate may pick up.

Question Really . The experts in banks are believing a rate upside though the chances for holding the current rate till tne end of 100 day program are also high. Wait for a price drop if you guys really wanted to enter at this moment. But don't jump in a price uptrend.

Salary increase of Rs.5000/= for state employees plus savings from consumable items ( to be reduced from interim budget) will increase the buying power of citizens. Sensibly, it leads to inflationary stage. How it could be controlled? Major remedy is increasing the interest rates. Isn't it?

Reduction in file prices, bus fares and the impending reduction of prices in 10 essential commodities will negate the salary increase to 1.3 million public workers and bring down inflation. Once it stabilizes, I feel we can expect a further rate cut.

This is also clear from CB governor statement. Also, if you go back and look at budget MR presented, Ravi K made a statement at that time saying they would bring down rates further.

All positive signs for ESL

It's true and I'm not saying ESL is good for long term.

I'm not promoting ESL and I do short and mid term trading..
ESL will give return atleast 75% within 6 months..

And if you are technically sound and perfect bargainer 100%++

Decision is yours..

objective is to reduce inflationary pressure by bringing down the cost of goods. to stimulate more economic growth and encourage more lending as well. surely the CB will reduce interests rates in Feb/march for how long and how much is the question. This is the reason we are seeing play on ESL the market knows that ESL will be great in the short term. If they give a dividend and have done reasonable well in third quarter fuelled with lowered interest rates. Well you decide what you should do . GL
