some times market could react negatively because of the possibility of a right issue to fund these acquisitions? Generally all companies go for right issue to fund acquisitions, isn't it?

TJL is having a strong balance sheet and not required the right issue.

Also keep mind they are paying very good dividend also.

This is masive deal. If this is go through TJ will have monopoly in sri lanka fabric supplies. Only down side i can see is ocean lanka has some trade union issues.

Sorry i intialy read incorectly they are not buy ocean lanka they only buy quenby & ocean india which is much smaller entities. Which tj can easly manage with cash they have.

exactly what i was about say when I read previous comments. Those are intera group rearrangements. as I know Ocean India is a profit making entity.

See the shareholding of TJL

Pacific Textured Jersey Holdings Limited 39.65%
Brandix Lanka Ltd- 29.81%

TJL is not own by Brandix 100%. It is only 30%

As you guys mentioned Ocean India is a profit making company. When it is adding to the TJL profit it will increase the value of TJL share. Of course you will get more dividend as well.

I'm not trying to give any bad impression to the readers, so does HawkEye. It is accepted that the public shareholding of the company is around 30%.

But the Brandix Lanka which presently owns Ocean India and the related entities giving up the business to TJL, would NOT just be in the best interest of TJL.

I can see only one instance where TJL & Brandix Lanka would be at a win - win situation, where Ocean India although it makes profit; generates a ROE less than ROE of Brandix lanka, but higher than the ROE of TJL.

If ROE of Ocean India is less than ROE of TJL, TJL would be at a loss.
