I really like to know who sold the big quantities last few days.. I think that should be Government related investments like EPF,NSB etc... If so why did they sell? Who were the lucky buyers who collected in large quantities last few days.

"Because of the broad market implications and forceful nature of new 52-week highs, market technicians keep a close eye on this statistic. The field of technical analysis has designed a number of indicators to grade the underlying momentum created by the events driving the market in either direction...

"When shares of a publicly traded company hit a new high for the year, everyone involved can rest assured that things are on the right track. Not only are investors rewarded, but the work of the company's CEO, executives and employees is validated. All this optimism in the business attracts new attention from traders and institutional investors looking to capitalize on the stock's momentum.

"Rallies from a new 52-week high can be explosive, picking up steam as traders migrate to stocks that are making a consistent profit. If the broader market begins to see many shares making new highs, that has the power to drive most everything up, squeezing short sellers and igniting a rally - perhaps even a new bull market."

Wow Antonym......

IPO price was 56Rs.... we saw the worst to drawdown to Rs15/-.
Technically thats taken rounding bottom.
I could be too bullish, but want to remain focus calm on LIOC.
The difference is around 40Rs to the upper on break out.
This will bring closer to 95-96 levels...
The onus is over 56Rs this territory has never been treaded....which compliment Antonym statement quoted from Investopedia Very Happy
Yes its a long way....there can be many things to happen...
However i am thinking once most expansion and growth strategies are well in place and taken off ..... we should be safe and sound if precise entry points are considered.

Good luck

YK, I think personally we should not think too much on the Big Fund exits or entry. If we understand and see the growth of the company.. we should go ahead and invest. With Big Funds we dont know their strategies for exiting and we dont want to know unless there is some inside trading taking place. The expansion drive debt situation all look positive, CAGR over 7 year period is above 10%. The outlook on rapid development in Asia region are some positives i see for 2014 and ahead, entry into new territory specially vietnam and indonesia are good signs if works out well.
These expansive initiatives will require huge capital to generate internally and or externally... with low interest rates would be advantageous..... so i am considering LIOC is still in early growth stage Very Happy
The Price mechanism and bunkering are 2 concerns at the moment as per their latest AR, which i presume will be well taken care of in time to come.

Dear Shark, It is very nice to hear about LIOC reaching 100/=. I hold quite a lot of this around 25000 shares and hoping to increase my stake.

I think short term target may be 3 to 6 months can be 55/=.
Achieving Rs. 100 needs a lot and depends lot on micro and macro economic conditions especially for a company like LIOC.

Apple announces Sept. 9 event for expected 'iPhone 6' & 'iWatch' unveiling: 'Wish we could say more'

Breaking By AppleInsider Staff
Apple on Thursday confirmed that it will hold a media event on Sept. 9, with a teaser sent to members of the media showcasing the date and a teasing tagline that reads: "Wish we could say more."

In a change from years past, Apple's 2014 September event will be held at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, Calif. Apple typically holds its annual iPhone event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, but this year's venue is closer to the company's corporate headquarters and can also accommodate three times as many people.

The Tuesday event will begin at 10 a.m. Pacific, 1 p.m. Eastern. AppleInsider will be there with full, live coverage.

In addition to the "iPhone 6," Apple is also expected to unveil a brand new wearable device at this year's event. The hardware is rumored to be a wrist-worn accessory that has come to be known as the "iWatch."

"iWatch" concept by Martin Hajek.

Word of the anticipated inclusion of the "iWatch" at the event leaked this week and is somewhat of a surprise, as it was originally expected that the device would be unveiled later this year. The Sept. 9 event date was first reported by Re/code earlier this month.

Unsurprising, however, is the likely unveiling of the "iPhone 6," as the event will come almost exactly one year after the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were revealed. This year's iPhone upgrade is rumored to come in two screen sizes of 4.7 and 5.5 inches with a faster next-generation "A8" processor.

Alleged 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 mockups with iPhone 5s. | Source: TechSmartt via YouTube

If Apple follows its usual release schedule, the new iPhone would find its way into the hands of consumers starting the following Friday, Sept. 19. With a plethora of parts leaks surfacing in recent weeks, particularly for the purported 4.7-inch model, it's believed that Apple is already ramping up production of the "iPhone 6."

Less certain, however, is when the "iWatch" might become available. As of yet, there have been no parts leaked for the expected wearable accessory, and rumored details about the device's design have been inconsistent on everything from shape to screen size.

It's also likely that iOS 8, Apple's next-generation operating system, will launch to the public not long after the Sept. 9 event. If the company follows the same pattern as last year, iOS 8 would become available to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

How will Diesel Deregulation affect Srilanka & Oil Companies ....

Mumbai: As diesel loss touched an all-time low of just 8 paise as of Monday, due to staggered deregulation which began in September 2012, analysts have called for giving oil marketers a free hand to decide diesel prices, since this would be credit positive for oil marketing companies (OMCs).

"Now is the right time for the government to decontrol diesel price and allow oil marketing companies to price diesel according to global rates. This will help the government achieve its fiscal consolidation targets," India Ratings said in a note issued in Mumbai on Monday.

On September 14, 2012 the UPA government had hiked diesel price by Rs. 5 per litre and thereafter OMCs were allowed to increase it by around 50 paise every month.

Meanwhile, domestic rating agency Icra said that diesel prices reaching market prices is credit positive for the petroleum sector.

"We believe a decision on full diesel price deregulation could potentially be a credit positive for the petroleum sector, which could send positive signals to investors. Also, deregulation could stimulate entry of private sector into diesel retailing, bringing much-needed competition in the sector," Icra said.

According to the domestic rating agency, if lower crude prices remain for the rest of FY15, under-recoveries would fall to around Rs. 90,000 crore and those on diesel would fall to almost one-fourth, to Rs. 15,000 crore this fiscal year from Rs. 62,800 crore in FY14.

India Ratings said that the staggered diesel price hike along with declining global crude prices and a rupee rally helped reduce the diesel under recovery to a record low of 8 paise a litre as of Monday.

On September 14, 2012, crude oil was trading at $113.64 bbl, and the rupee at 55.47 to the dollar and under recovery at Rs. 13.86 per litre, taking total daily under recovery of OMCs at Rs. 498 crore, India Ratings said.

Icra said that between September 2012 and the second fortnight of May 2013, the rupee remained stable but crude price slipped to $101.07 per bbl.

However, a sharp fall of the rupee in June-August 2013, increased both diesel under-recovery and total daily loss to Rs. 12.12 per litre and Rs. 486 crore respectively, Icra said.

This staggered diesel price hike not only limited the impact on inflation, but also brought down total loss to Rs. 1,39,869 crore in FY14, from Rs. 1,61,029 crore in FY13, India Ratings said.

How about writing few +/- for LIOC

+ Are
Consumption to Grow due to rapid development in infrastructure
Public Transport to expand in at rapid phase.
Posibility of Ceypetco to be managed by LIOC on and mgmt fee income or revenue share.
Shipping Hub development with Hambantota port expansion, and Oil Bunkering to increase for vessels passing off Hambantota.
Price Mechanism to be developed sooner after elections, with Diesel prices at LOW, so people will not feel the pinch.

Anybody can add more
